New website for Thomas Ediciones

Aiming at developing its online selling activity, Ediciones Cultura y Saber (a book selling company located in Barranquilla, on the caribean coast of Colombia) asked me to develop an e-commerce website for its Santa-Marta branch called Thomas Ediciones.

Due to its versatility, I used the e-commerce widget Ecwid integrated with WordPress.

Gmail’s Email Intervention

I find the new Google concept about “helping our friends to make the switch to Gmail” pretty funny. I have personally “helped” many of my friends to switch to Gmail, since Gmail’s launch.

In my opinion, Gmail is way better than the other services out there, but whatever your email program of choice is, you must admit Google always has original ways of promoting it’s services.

I guess that people who persist in using Yahoo! or Hotmail just haven’t been told about Gmail yet, hence the need for an intervention. Because quite frankly, there is no way someone who starts using Gmail ever wants to go back to using his old email provider, that is certain.

New Sublime Digital website

I’m excited about my Sublime Digital Portfolio website redesign using Orman Clark‘s WordPress theme called Gridlocked. I’m still feeding the content and tweaking it but it is already looking pretty good. Although using a “template” might seem a little bit paradoxical for a web designer, it makes sense to me to show my new craze for the WordPress platform and facilitate my life by being able to update my own website faster than ever.
